Marina Ren

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Marina obtained her Master of Physical Therapy from Western University after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Waterloo. In addition to her time at Trinity, Marina also works at Burnaby Hospital, providing care to post-surgical and neurological populations. Having worked with people in all walks of life, Marina understands that healing is unique to each individual and their functional goals.  She strongly believes in the ability of the human body to adapt to stresses provided the right stimulus, and hopes to inspire in her clients the same confidence in their bodies’ resilience. Marina’s approach to care is primarily grounded in movement-based therapy and supplemented by manual techniques and IMS/dry-needling.  She places a strong emphasis on sharing her knowledge to provide clients with the tools to integrate changes into their everyday movements.  Marina enjoys challenging her learning with ongoing education, and is presently completing her training in Clinical Pilates and pursuing a Diploma in Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy. Outside of the clinic, you can find Marina exploring hiking trails, trying aerial tricks on a pole, lifting weights at the gym, or food-hopping across the city. Marina is bilingual in English and Mandarin and enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
