
Stephen Barclay
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Stephen grew up in Kimberley, BC, and moved to Vancouver to complete his Bachelor of Science in Biology (1996) and his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (2001). In 2005, he achieved the internationally recognized designation of Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapists (FCAMPT). Further postgraduate training has also certified him to practise medical acupuncture and intramuscular stimulation (IMS).
He is an instructor for the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy and mentors physiotherapists in preparation for their intermediate and advanced orthopaedic exams. The assessment and treatment of knee injuries remains his special passion. Stephen was chosen as a Therapist for Athlete Care at the 2010 Winter Olympics, and he has been the designated physiotherapist for various sports teams, including SFU Rugby, Burnaby Lakers Lacrosse and World Ultimate Frisbee.
Recreationally, Stephen has fun running, skiing, playing golf, squash and tennis.
