Valerie Lang

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Valerie completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology and Master of Physical Therapy degrees at UBC. Before becoming a therapist, she spent 10 years teaching community fitness programs, including swimming lessons, aquatic fitness, aquatic stroke recovery and seniors’ fitness classes.
Valerie is committed to help all clients achieve their health goals by combining her knowledge of manual therapy, exercise, and research. She has taken post-graduate orthopaedic training with Canada's Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Program.
Her athletic background as an artistic swimmer and netball player has shaped her appreciation for physiotherapy and its role in return to sport, recovery and resilience.
Valerie enjoys working with a wide range of clients, including athletes, older adults, post-operative clients and those managing persistent health conditions such as osteoarthritis, stroke, diabetes, or neurological disorders.
Outside the clinic, Valerie enjoys hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, gardening, and painting BC’s beautiful outdoors.
